How do I register for the Song Contest?
1. Sign up via www.musictraveler.com and complete your musician Profile
2. Submit your songs as Video-Upload via Youtube URL. Format: Instagram Reel
Submit songs until Oct 15, 11:59pm
What if my Video is shorter than 3 minutes and is uploaded automatically as Youtube Short?
Please make sure your Video is longer than 3 minutes even when your song is shorter. You can extend it by e.g. doubling or adding a black background. Before uploading your video as a collaborator post, we will edit it and remove the extension.
Can I submit multiple songs?
Multiple uploads are allowed yet only the one with the most votes will be considered for the Jury evaluation.
What can I win?
Prizes for Top 3 Songs include 2x Studio Recordings (Silver Stage Studio Munich and Tapetown Aarhus), 1x Mixing and Mastering (Marinegrau Vienna), 5x Festival Gigs (e.g. Corso Leopold in Munich, Sommerbühne Vienna), 6x Premium Memberships (Overtune and BANDZONE), and a 3000€ Instrument Voucher (Way of Music). How does the casting process work?
Videos are posted as Reel on our Instagram @musictraveler_official with the contestants account as collaborator. Fans vote by liking or commenting the Reel. Each like and comment counts as one vote. Multiple comments per user do not count multiple. Top 50 songs reach the next round.
Note: Signs of manipulation (bought like or comment) will lead to disqualification.
How are the winners selected?
The voting system for the final show is yet to be announced.
What type of music or style is preferred?
All genres are welcome, with a focus on original works.
Can I participate with my band or only as a solo artist?
Yes, both solo artists and bands can participate.
Can I participate with a cover song?
No cover songs allowed.
Is there support or workshops to prepare for the contest?
Yes, workshops (e.g. Beat Making) are offered in collaboration with our partners like Overtune.
Are there opportunities to network with other musicians or industry professionals?
Yes, networking occurs at the Grand Final and through workshops with industry experts and partners.

Are my songs copyright-protected, and what happens to my rights?
Songs remain your copyright. By submitting, you allow promotional use by MT.
What technical requirements do I need for the online casting submission?
Submit a vertical video file via Youtube URL to your MT Musician Profile, with clear vocals and minimal background noise.
